When You Love Someone

There are a couple lines from some songs that keep coming to mind during these days with the boys.
The first is Tom Petty's The Waiting is the Hardest Part, that line is so true when you're counting the days until the test results come back, the ones with the hopeful answers. For us that's a week or less from now.

The next one is a song by Bethany Dillion called When You Love Someone. I think about that every time I see Jeff carrying Coleman or every time we wrestle down the docs to get some answers or run across the river just to get a specific brand of frozen pop tarts that Coleman thinks he can eat. There is really no limit to what we'll do when we love someone.

Today has been quiet recuperation for Coleman and he ate better than he has in a while. One more day under our belts...waiting. I was looking at his eyes and thinking how they are truly the window to our soul and body. They are weak and the bright blue is now a bit gray. I look forward to the day when the sparkle is back.

As a reference, I have been reading one of the books written by the toxic illness doctor in Maryland we are working with called Mold Warriors. It has opened our eyes and become our mold bible. If we are indeed dealing with a toxic illness, I'll at least have the lingo under my belt when the results come. Here's a link to his website as well.
