24 hours at a time

It's Saturday and the last 24 hours have been good and bad. We are using a homeopathic treatment to help calm Coleman and to restore his central nervous system. Although I'm new to this type of testing, I have spent a full day researching the list of bacteria and issues found in Coleman's body from this test and the symptoms are spot on.

The only thing we are treating with homeopathy right now is the nervous system. After a few days we'll work on some detox as well. The only meds we are using are for pain and although we tried two days without them, we realized he needs them right now. The issue with those meds is they cause such nausea. So today he's eating much less and feeling sick to his stomach again, but hopefully the pain in his body will drop some. It's a tough choice and we talk with him about that choice because he knows his body best. When he was off of the pain meds, he ate much better.

Every decision has an impact on him and we try to weigh them all carefully.

I do frequently wonder how one child could have so many things attacking his body at one time. We have to work on them in the proper order, especially while we wait for the Lyme/Bartonella lab results.

It's a quiet rainy Saturday and we're all sticking pretty close to home. Coleman is struggling most with being house and bed bound. He has been talking about that more lately. It's hard for a guy his age to realize how much of life has passed by while he fights through this.

Thanks for remembering us, we'll stay in touch!

  2. Dear Mel and family, my name is Katy Shelton and I am, your cousin, Steve Colemans sister-in-law. I have been following your hard journey. I pray for your children each and every day. I have put Coleman and Spencer on several prayer lists. I sincerely hope that today Coleman startes the road to recovery, as I pray everyday.

    Love, Katy

  3. Dearest Mel and Jeff-

You guys are the most amazing parents and we can feel the love and intensity of your efforts.

Macy and I (and many of our friends- far and wide) are sending with the strongest of positive intention and prayer: love, energy, hope, strength, courage, happiness and peace of mind. The power of collective prayer and intention is amazing and life changing.

Macy and I are picturing with all optimism and faith....Coleman and Spencer completely well, playing, happy, laughing and filled with the care-free joys of youth.

We are especially focused on Coleman's internal beacon- that he will be able to shift focus from fear and tap into his own light-filled, happy soul and allow and feel wellbeing on the way.... the exact right combination of help- information, doctors, treatments, people are there. He has to tell and feel the story the way he wants it to be and not as it is right now.

Dwell on wellbeing not sickness. Don't spend an ounce of energy being against or fighting against, spend precious energy on being "for" wellness and strong immune system and happy plans. Mel- your family photos are amazing and are very high res. Can you poster-size Coleman (and Spencer's) favorite things to do and memories- plaster the ceilings and walls (if you haven't already:) You are probably doing ALL of this already, but work with him outloud on visualizations- to describe healthy body that allows for his favorite play, adventures, and just happiness with lots of detail. In effect, you would be teaching Coleman to re-train his mind to the positive and out of grip of fear. It takes practice, lots of repetition, but it works...the shift :) We love you guys very much! Wish we were closer to help out. Prayer chains going on everywhere :)

    xoxoxo Macy and Jeannie

P.S. Macy's specific visualization right at this momemt is playing with the Coleman and Spencer in the attic, running all around, playing ball outside... all happy and everyone having fun!
