I'll take the little milestones when ever they come. Today marked almost two days with Coleman having no "twitching" spells - maybe better called muscle jumps that would happen each night right as he would fall asleep and then a few times during the day. They were painful to him and he dreaded when they would come. So that's a good milestone in my book.
Coleman continues to eat well and ate one of Murph's cupcakes tonight. (Thanks for the big meal run Murph and Murph Sr.!) He also woke up this morning and asked me about his shoes. For that last six months or so before he got sick he had such a shoe fedish - wanting to stop into every Foot Locker and look over the shoes. He got a pair for Christmas that he loved and I brought them downstairs. He lifted an eyebrow when he saw them. We talked about how he would have them on when he walked again - I must say he wasn't so quick to deny it this time, another little milestone.
He really laughed hard today when Jeff, Spence and I sucked in the helium from his balloons and sung, another little milestone.
When he falls asleep at night, he doesn't have the same struggle with all the negative things in his head, another little milestone.
He's pushing himself up in the bed now, we don't lift him from behind anymore, another little milestone.
I think we have a good distance to go and my prayer remains that he'll make strong progress this week so that we can avoid the heavy invasive testing.
We're still upping the herbal antibiotic every day because we want to stay aggressive against what ever is ailing him, and then maybe we'll have some big milestones.
