Lately I have been thinking..."so this is what its like to be a stay home Mom." I have always agreed it was the hardest job out there and this post is a salute to those Moms who have made most of their existence in the den and kitchen like I have learned to do.
Today, I got the boys to try some Wii Yoga with me. I know this kind of exercise will help Coleman's balance and core strength so they gave it a whirl with me. When I turned around and saw both guys in the Tree pose with one leg propped up on the other and their arms stretched to the ceiling, it just cracked me up. It's one of those little rewards that stay home Moms get a bit more frequently...and deserve.
Becky, the PT came to work with Coleman today. His strength is coming back so nicely. He has always been a strong person, so to see him so weak all this time has been unusual. He can now throw a ball at (not to) me so hard that I have to duck for cover. Becky is not only working with his body and muscles, which she is encouraged by, but on helping him "widen his world" again. He has developed a trusting relationship with these ladies and its valuable for him right now.
It's lights out here, time for Coleman and I to talk through the good stuff about today and try to get him to a peaceful night's rest.
To my family members in WVA and TN, we are touched by your card today and blessed to call you family in thick and thin. Truly Obliged!
