We took Coleman back to MCV ER in the evening because the lack of feeling is moving up his body and he can no longer sit up on his own. We went only because we were scared of the possibility of Guillain-Barré and it making its way to his lungs. The ER visit felt like a mistake. They were ready to admit him but assured us he was breathing well enough on his own. We opted to leave because Coleman has become so insecure and paranoid of doctors and nurses (who could blame him at this point) that he was far more than upset in the ER. We knew a quiet night at home would be better.
