On Our Knees

Literally, that's what we were around here today because Coleman went from crawling today to being upright on his knees. He went around the bed a couple of times then he held his weight up off the ground using Grandmother's walker - still not able to put his feet flat on the floor without pain, but we're working on it.

He also stayed on the floor for a bit to work with his old transformers, all of which he absolutely remembers every turn of. Interesting to me that these complicated transforming patterns are from about 4 or so years ago and they're all still there in his mind.

We are beginning to focus more on the cognitive portion this week - adding some elements that are brain food. - Speaking of food, thanks Mary Jo for the home cooking and the chocolate rabbit is now earless.

Spencer stayed on his schoolwork track and we're hoping he'll be able to add more each day. He seems to be losing some of his dizziness and back to watching TV and computer screens without a problem. I'm banking on his hand ability coming back soon. Spencer describes the pain in his hands exactly like Coleman describes the pain in his feet.

Every night Coleman and I review what we have to be thankful for in that day. He says that we're thankful he is no longer "trapped in bed." I still spend a fair amount of time each day researching toxic mold illness and the other illnesses Coleman is battling and today I was thankful that we are battling this during a time when we have the internet for digging and for talking with other mothers who help assure us that what we're dealing with is real - here's a shout out to Andrea and her house full in Arizona- keep celebrating your small victories, you are a hero among mothers!

As always,
Do your best
prepare for the worst
Trust God for the Victory.
