On Our Feet!

Again, that's what we were literally around here today. Without any prompting, Coleman asked me to bring the walker. He has crawled to it before and held his upper body up but today he pulled all the way up and did something very close to walking. He can't put weight on the bottom of his feet because of the pain, but he turned them to the sides and shuffled several steps.

We were shocked to say the least. There is a new sense of pride in Coleman and I think that will give him some confidence in other areas as well. We added some more supplements and nutrition for the body and brain today and are hopeful for more positive results.

Thanks Anne for the Chick-Fil-A run and how did you know I was craving Starbuck's best Arnie Palmer ever? You brightened our day and thanks Mom for the pharmacy run and for being the most patient teacher on the planet for Spen.

Last night we were going to sleep and that is still Coleman's toughest time of each day, which is why we always try to name good things to be thankful for in that day. Coleman reminded me of a line his dad quoted to him from the movie Evan Almighty. Morgan Freeman plays God and when the wife was facing a challenge, God asked her, "When people pray for courage does God give them courage or the opportunity to be courageous?" This boy's courage is something so strong, I can only stand in its shadow.
