Today was a great day here at the Cox house. Coleman is getting so much more agile in his movements. Today he washed himself and was reaching all the way behind him to get things off the end table. When he did his exercises in bed, he lifted his leg almost upright and was able to bring it down slowly. He's also sitting up in bed on his own.
The IVNA nurse came today and she could not believe the difference in Coleman. She said it was like he was a different child. She stayed in the room with us for about an hour and Coleman was able to talk with her some and offered her some of the amazing basket that was delivered by our buddies at Elevation today. She took him up on some treats and asked him if she could come back next week. He told her yes. She has the perfect disposition for Coleman, truly like she was hand picked.
She also hand picked a physical therapist for us, who will probably start in about a week. We're keeping close tabs on Coleman's progress and adjusting accordingly. Always trying to keep him thinking positively and remembering what a champ he is.
Ready for the weekend - thankful for a good day! Enjoy yours - talk to you tomorrow.
