Technology has been our friend and enemy through this illness. There are the friends of electronic air testers, air purifiers, bioenergetic screening and the latest hand held game Coleman is tackling - it really helps make his days more bearable. Then I think about the technology that didn't help - the beginnings of an EMG test, barium GI's, lung scans, etc. The interesting thing to me is that although none of those things helped Coleman, they were probably saving somebody else's life in another room.
The body and brain are truly the most amazing pieces of technology. Imagine how complex their circuitry is. I often think of ways our bodies were trying to tell us things we missed. Toxic mold is a big impersonator - it looks like chronic fatigue, respiratory fungus, brain trauma and more. It works at such a cellular level that it hides from even the best of technology. Why am I talking about this tonight? I have no idea - it's just been on my mind.
Quiet day on the home front. We are still targeting the repercussions of mycotoxins - the tough ones - and we're working in new protocol. Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. The is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do.
That was a sweet sound to the ears of a mother who wrestles with guilt on all fronts about this. I hope it sounds sweet to you too. Looking for what God can do...
