We just got an email from my cousin Pam's daughter. It was a good report on her progress. I sat here thinking for a while about how much she and Coleman have been through. They are in some ways on parallel journeys and I'm so hoping there will be a day soon where their roads intersect and they can both celebrate what it really means to live.
They are both brave fighters and it's a good thing because they have both ended up in the fight of their lives. Even in the worst of those fights, when it feels like life is going down the toilet, I'm sure they would both tell you that they have felt the hand of God. I know that I have seen the hand of God on Coleman and it has changed the way I look at life, death and the in between.
I look for God in even the small things now and I find myself listening for a small voice inside.
We are ready for the rain to end around here and for Coleman to be able to enjoy the outdoors again. Until then, we keep the computers buzzing, the movies re-running and Spen's books cracking.
Audrey - it was great to see you and your boys today. That meal was awesome and Coleman ate half of the cantaloupe. You are one more reason we're spoiled and I truly miss making music with the likes of you!
Time to put this household to bed...keep the faith, keep the peace!
