Jonnie, what an amazing grocery run, you were right on time and right on the money - we have several meals planned from your Trader Joe's pics and Murph thanks for making the run all the way across town to stork it. Darlene, how did you know how much Spence was looking for a playdate - thanks for taking him out with you guys and for the Arnie Palmer. Marna, your friendship and family recipe are both welcome in my home and heart.
Nurse Sharon came over today and was excited to see Coleman walking on his flat feet, she took a turn skiing on the Wii with Coleman and told me he was breathing more deeply this week. Those are the little things I love to hear.
This evening Coleman went back outside and he and his dad shot the pellet gun from the deck. He was a dead eye on the target (although he says he sees a few of them), which tells me his vision has to be getting better. That's a little thing I like to see and thought you might like it too.
Spen got in on the action too with his Red Ryder.
You know most days my mind is so full of deeply personal thoughts because I've spent so much time taking deep personal inventory about what our children mean to us and what we would do differently if we didn't have them or if they were suddenly markedly changed, and sometimes I try to write a poem or a song lyric (not much spare time these days...)
Nothing stands to reason
Before the great I Am
When looking for the courage
To ask for life again.
But the maker of the universe
that makes me feel so small
says if I boldly ask Him
He'll reach down and touch us all.
Simple words from the private stock. Enjoy your weekend.
