Resurrection Sunday

I woke this morning and really missed the habit of going to church. Something about Easter, just makes me feel like I should be in a place of worship other than the beat up chair in my sun room, but there have been some revealing moments in that beat up chair the last few months. There has also been something special about the four of us spending so much time together in one room, it sometimes feels like we're camping in the den.

Coleman talked this morning about how much he wants to go out of the house. He wants to go to Target and look around. He's not physically or mentally ready yet, but the fact that he wants to go sounds good to me.

He walked across the room a few times today and even sat on the stationary bike and pedaled for a minute. He seems a bit more tired today but he's had some big days and I'm reminded that his body is still hard at work healing and that takes a lot of energy.

Our in home nurse Sharon came today and when she saw Coleman walk she just said "shut up, I can't believe this!" She's planning to make sure physical therapy can start this week. I'm hoping with each passing day that Coleman will better be able to be touched so PT can be successful.

A Big FAT thanks for both of our families for delivering a full Easter spread to our door today. It's almost like being with family when you're eating all the traditional Easter things - 7UP salad, potato salad, ham and turkey...we're grateful for our families looking out for us and for being patient during the healing.

This morning I read a verse that talked about coming back to God and how He would be gracious and kind. The line that struck me was Clasp God's outstretched hand... Thank goodness.
