Rainy Monday

A few days of rain around here makes one feel locked down. In between the showers today, Coleman took his physical therapist outside to jump on the wet trampoline. He didn't have any new tricks today, he was still feeling tired. We had a good visit. It does my heart good to see Coleman light up when she and Sharon come in the room. He immediately puts his fist up for a pound and seems to always have something he wants to tell them or show them. It feels like Coleman will have to reconnect with people one at a time when he feels more confident. The way his relationship with these ladies is growing gives me good hope and if you've got hope it's at least a thread to hang on by. I can think of several people tonight who do not.

Ramping up a couple of meds and the results are steady, sure and positive. Right now he's on-line deciding what would be a good birthday purchase. Deep inside he wants to go see a movie in June and there are several hurdles standing in the way. What we have realized is that he has to jump each hurdle on his own time in his own way. When we try to over-encourage or manipulate a jump, it truly backfires. He is more aware of his circumstances than I give him credit for.

We're about to turn the lights out on this rainy Monday. The only time I really like the rain is to hear the sound it makes on the roof in the sun room...good sleeping sound. Good night from a blessed mother.

  1. Hello, I am Alana & Gabriel's Mom from Richmond Christian. Gabriel and Spenser played basketball together my husband and I coached. I just want to encourage you to be strong in the Lord and know that there are many praying for you. I think the yard sale idea is wonderful and we will definatley participate. May the Lord strenghten your family and touch and heal completely your son's. God has a wonderful plan for them and this will be part of their testimony. God Bless Rosalinda Rivera
